Kalladka tea, in general we call it K-tea with a history of over 110+ years. This is a special kind of tea unique to the Tulunad. It was initiated in Lakshmi Nivasa hotel of Kalladka. Now it is served in other hotels of Mangalore apart from the Lakshmi Nivasa hotel. Its image is shown below.

It is served in a transparent glass showing the layers of decoction sitting on top of the milk, gently swirling but not mixing into the milk. To prepare this, pour hot milk and let the thick tea decoction remain atop the milk with the help of a spoon. Rimjhim is the coffee version of K-Tea.
To prepare a cup of traditional tasty KTea, it is essential to have Devagiri branded tea powder and thick milk. Adding an appropriate amount of sugar also plays a vital role in enhancing the taste of KTea.
