Rakshit Shetty is an Indian actor who is mainly known for his work in Kannada films.Rakshit was born in Odipu(Udupi) into a Tulu-speaking Bunt family on 6th June 1983. He loved to do Pili Nalike during his school days.
Education
Rakshit Shetty completed his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications engineering from N.M.A.M Institute of Technology, Nitte, Karla(Karkala).
Career
Before stepping into the film industry, Rakshit worked as a software engineer for two years. Rakshit made his debut in 2010 with Aravind Kaushik’s ‘Nam Areal Ond Dina’. In 2013 he acted in a romance-comedy film ‘Simple Agi Ondh Love Story’. In 2014,he wrote, directed and starred in the film ‘Ulidavaru Kandanthe’. He gained more popularity after the release of this film. In 2015, Rakshit started his own film distribution and production studio named, ‘Paramvah Studios’. Once again in 2016, he wrote and produced a college-romance film named ‘Kirik Party’ which was directed by Rishabh Shetty, and became a commercial success. In 2022, Rakshit played the main role in Kiranraj’s 777 Charlie which was produced by Rakshit Shetty under Paramvah Studios.
Rakshit Shetty, Rishabh Shetty, and Raj B Shetty are often seen working together and make films that mostly portray Tulunad culture.
