
Anushka Shetty, also known as Sweety Shetty, is an Indian Actress who is known for her work in Telugu and Tamil films. Anushka Shetty was born on 7 November 1981 in Bellippady Village of Puttur, into a Tulu-speaking Bunt family. She is the youngest daughter of A.N. Shetty and Prafulla and has two elder brothers, Gunaranjan Shetty, and Sai Ramesh Shetty.
Education
Anushka did her bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA) from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. She was also trained under Bharat Thakur and became a yoga instructor.
Career
Anushka made her acting debut in the 2005 Telugu film ‘Super’, directed by Puri Jagannadh. Her performance in the film earned her a nomination for the Best Supporting Actress – Telugu at the Filmfare Awards. However, it was her role as Sasha in the 2006 Telugu film “Vikramarkudu” that earned her widespread recognition and established her as a leading actress in the Telugu film industry. Anushka went on to appear in several commercially successful films such as “Arundhati” (2009), “Vedam” (2010), “Rudramadevi” (2015), “Baahubali: The Beginning” (2015), and “Baahubali: The Conclusion” (2017). In addition to Telugu and Tamil films, Anushka has also acted in a few Kannada and Hindi films. She has also been a part of a few Malayalam and Bengali films. She is one of the highest-paid actress in Indian film industry.

Anushka Shetty has won several awards for her performances including three Filmfare Awards, two Nandi Award, and one Tamil Nadu State Film Award.
Anushka Shetty frequently visits her hometown and is fluent in her mother tongue Tulu.
